1st Conference
Organized the 1st APIPEC Network Conference in October 2017 at Surakarta, Indonesia. This was the year when the APIPEC Network was founded.
2020, Philippines
2nd Conference
Organized the 2nd APIPEC Network Conference in collaboration with the Philippine Interprofessional Education and Collaboration (PHIPEC) Network, held in January 2020 at the De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute, Cavite, Philippines
2021-2023
Pandemic and Partnership with IP.Global
Two delegates (Michael Sy and Roi Charles Pineda) participated in the 2nd Partnership Symposium (Winterthur, Switzerland) to galvanize the network’s visibility with Interprofessional.Global.
Sy and Pineda continued to participate in the 3rd Partnership Symposium (Doha, Qatar) to maintain representation and update the IP.G on the network’s activities and plans and Regrouped during the ATBH 2023 in Doha, Qatar, to restructure the regional network; a core team of five people was hence established to lead the network’s management.
2023 to Present
Becoming an Established Network
Organized three online consultative meetings as part of the regrouping process and achieved the following milestones:
● Milestone 1: Established a working directory of champions from the region.
● Milestone 2: Created 4 working groups (WG) -- network management, capacity building (in charge of the conference), research, and publicity.
● Milestone 3: Revived the official APIPEC Network website and e-mail – www.apipec.net
● Milestone 4: Partnered with Manipal University (Malaysia) to participate in a local IPE/C conference called “Interprofessional Conference on Interprofessional Education and Care” (ICON). This is in preparation for the 3rd APIPEC Network Conference in 2026.
